I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been published for the first time ever. This piece is really rather “meta,” because it’s about choosing to keep my heart open in the face my fears, which is ultimately what I am doing every time I write, and it’s certainly what I have done by quitting my job and going for this writing thing full-time.

Read With a Heart Wide Open over at Mamalode.

And thanks, friends.

Edited to add: I am so sad to tell you that the pregnancy I shared here ended soon after this post was published. But I don’t regret at all my decision to share it in the first place. Choosing to live with my heart wide open and inviting others into that life sometimes means that everyone’s hearts will be broken. And that is ok.
